A random stranger "bunny ears" me during last year's race!
As you can see from the amusing photo above, I ran last year’s marathon for Hope for The Warriors. I had a great time, completed my goal, and figured I was done with marathons. I’ve joked a lot about the picture shown above—the only existing photo of me on last year’s course. I keep telling everyone that I may have to run again just to get a picture without the bunny ears. The truth however is that running the marathon on this particular team was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done. As I goofed for the cameras, one of my H4W teammates completed the marathon on a handcycle less than a year after losing his legs in Iraq. And he was not alone. In the past year, I have learned about setting goals and realizing dreams from the men and women who have sacrificied so much in the global war on terror. Running another marathon is my way of honoring and supporting their achievements. Thanks for any support you can give; no amount is too small.
